Sometimes as we say – We don’t choose anything well actually things choose us. It has happened the same way with Sharib Hashmi – While he was talking about his role in The Family man Series, he said that he didn’t choose the series, The Series chose him, as he just did one audition fairly for the role and he prayed hard that he would get this part. He also said that somewhere inside he knew or had intuition that he would definitely will get this role.
After Slumdog Millionaire (2008) and Filmistan (2012), He thought he had made it big but sadly most of the films he signed afterwards failed to take off But eventually a web series The Family Man and season one and season two had proved to him that this is a second chance for him. He Plays Talpade, Who is behaviorist psychologist of sorts in Manoj Bajpayee’s personal and professional life .
Sharib Hashmi is the son of well Known film Journalist Z.A. Johar, where he mentioned in one of his interview given to a magazine that he still remembers attending the premiers of Parinda and Saajan as a kid. The Glamour and stardom had felt magical to him as kid, he added.It’s been a while when he was trying his hand at writing for TV and during those days he caught a break when Danny Boyle, he got the selection for a small role in Slumdog Millionaire (2008). Whenever he talked about his roles, he always said the length of the role doesn’t matter to him, where he also did a very small bit in Scam 1992 but the kind of accolades he received for The Family Man was impeccable. In one of his interview he said – I can’t describe what I’m feeling right now. I Feel proud and fortunate to be an integral part of such an amazing show. The audience’s appreciation and love for the second season is unbelievable. I celebrated by binge watching the series with my family and friends.
As we all know, this is the first time when he is so famous and has got this success on his way, where he must be on the cloud nine but audience still have a lot of expectation from him as an actor after second season of The Family Man. He says that post the success of The Family Man 2, he would like to look for bigger and meatier roles, where as he had done main lead in the past as well. He also said that the length of the rile doesn’t really matter after all but it has to has something in it to like about.
When in an interview, he had been asked a question about his 14 year old son that how is he reacting to his daddy’s success, then he replied that his son doesn’t think much about it, and the newly turned teenager had enough on his plate already to worry about, like studies, hormonal changes, teen troubles then to think of his dad’s success, But he knows one thing that he’s really proud of his father.
